According to the sources, it has been reported that the National Association of Food Vietnam (VFA) predicted that national rice exports will erode 14 percent over last year to settle at five million 700 thousand tons, 800 thousand less than the expected released early of the year. Further, in this regard, it has been revealed that if it is confirmed, then it will be the first time since 2009 that sales of grain are reduced below six million tons. According to the data released by VFA, it indicates that in the first six months of the year, the country sold more than two million 650 thousand tons of rice, worth a thousand 140 million dollars.
Furthermore, as per source, China is the largest buyer to occupy about 35 percent of Vietnamese exports, followed by Africa and Indonesia. The amount of inventory of that product, accounted for until the end last June, it was about one million 270 thousand tons as reported and forecast the adverse scenario for domestic sales due to the prolonged drought and salinization in the Mekong river delta, most granary of the country.
