FOOD SAFETY ASSOCIATES is organizing PCQI training in Karnal, Haryana. This Preventive Controls courses developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) serve as the “standardized curriculum” that FDA recognizes as adequate; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual”. This course is taught by a Lead Instructor for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course.
This training is mandatory for all the units doing business with United States in any form and at least one in a unit should hold this qualification. All the participants will get certificates from USFDA & there is no exam included in this course. This course will provide operational information that minimizes the risk of food borne illnesses and outbreaks. No food service operator can afford the costs of food borne illnesses, hospitalization or unfortunately- even death. Food safety is our main concern, and we continue to stay current on new regulations and methods of preserving the safety of food.
What is a PCQI?
A Preventive controls qualified individual “means a qualified individual who has successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls at least equivalent to that received under a standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by FDA or is otherwise qualified through job experience to develop and apply a food safety system.” This is the definition is from Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation § 117.3
