As the Indian Economy continues to grow by leaps and bounds, Haryana aptly epitomizes the growth story of India. HSIIDC organized the State level Export Awards Distribution Function at Udyog Vihar, Gurugram yesterday, chaired by Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, to ensure support to the new enterprises of the state. This event was held after 11 years, after being kept pending by the previous government and the award money was raised 3 times as a gesture of encouragement by Khattar Government to the entrepreneurs of the state.
The Chief Minister, speaking at the function, urged the entrepreneurs and exporters to train the unemployed youth as per their requirements and employ them. He assured that the state government would provide infrastructure for the same and would also give certificates of the training to such youth. The Chief Minister awarded 111 export units for their outstanding performance. Twenty one of the awards were bagged by the units of Gurugram. Many prominent rice exporters were also facilitated by the Chief Minister. Among them were Mr. Mohit Gupta, Director of Bharat Industrial Enterprises Ltd. (BIEL), Mr. Narinder Kumar Miglani, Director of Lekh Raj Narinder Kumar (LRNK), Mr. Susheel Jain, Director, Veer Overseas Ltd., Mr. Jai Prakash, representative of DD International Pvt.Ltd., Mr. Ramesh Gupta, Director of Shiv Shakti Inter Globe Exports Pvt. Ltd., R.P.Basmati Rice Ltd. and Best Foods Ltd.
The Chief Minister interacted with the entrepreneurs and asked them if the benefits of policy changes were reaching to them or not. He also sought their suggestions to further improve the policy. The exporters and entrepreneurs expressed their views openly, without any hesitation. The government is ready to make further changes for improving the policy. CM Khattar said that he learnt a lot in first 12 months, but it was not new for him how to serve the masses. He said that during the last two years Haryana has jumped from 14th to 5th place in ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and has got 97 per cent marks in this regard. To make the youth employable, emphasis has been laid on skill development. He said that Vishavkarma Skill Development University would be setup at Badhok in district Palwal. Its classes have already been started temporarily in Faridabad. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Vipul Goel said that no export unit has been awarded during last 10 years. The present government has not only again started these awards but has also tripled the award money.
