TDAP logoAccording to recent information it has been revealed that Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will soon be visiting Russia in an attempt to search for non-traditional markets to enhance Pakistan’s exports. It has been narrated by SM Munir CEO of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) that higher exports are imperative for the country’s progress and the TDAP in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry is making strenuous efforts to achieve the objective.

Further, according to SM Munir, during the first year of GSP Plus status, Pakistan’s exports recorded an increase of $2 billion, but international recession contributed a lot to aggravating the situation, which was evident from the decrease in exports of India, China and European nations and Pakistan’s basmati riceShanti Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. exports fell 40% while leather goods prices dropped 50-60%. He pointing out that the GSP Plus status was accorded to Pakistan; India immediately enhanced the export rebate from 3% to 5%.
