Haryana Chief Minister, Honorable Bhupinder Singh Hooda writes to the P.M Modi to draw his attention about the problems being faced by the rice farmers in the state after the purchased prices for the rice has been decreased.
In his letter he figure out the problems like due to scanty of rainfall this season there is already an increase in the production cost and on other side the decrease in the purchase prices has doubled the matter of worry.
He said that Haryana is the largest Basmati Rice Producing State in the country and he wanted the PM Modi to take immediate steps to address the problems of the Haryana rice
farmers who are facing a problem of Huge losses of Rs 100-1500 per quintal.
He said that if necessary steps are not taken soon, not just the farmers will suffer, but the country too will lose foreign exchange as a result of fall in export of Basmati rice.
